The 162d Fighter Wing (FW) Air Guardians is a 100% all-volunteer organization with two components: the Air Guardians and the Guardian ANGels Education Fund.
Every member of the Air Guardians and Board Members volunteers their time and effort without any compensation. Our sole aim is to operate with the utmost integrity and transparency. Your generous donations will directly impact the lives of the personnel and families of the 162d Fighter Wing, Tucson Air National Guard. Our unwavering mission is to provide essential resources and support to ensure that the airmen and their families know we have their backs and can give them the tools they need to succeed in their military service.
Our funding

The 162d FW Family Readiness Center collaborates with The Air Guardians for various military-sanctioned events and joint projects. These projects involve important initiatives such as stocking the food pantry and sending out care packages. Families in need
Military families, especially younger ones with children, make significant sacrifices. Unexpected financial difficulties can create emotional challenges, particularly during long separations due to deployments or unexpected housing issues. Additionally, unexpected illnesses can take a toll on family relationships. We understand these challenges and provide critical financial assistance in times of need.

The Guardian ANGels 501(c)(3) non-taxable charitable fund is a vital part of the Air Guardians Organization. It is dedicated to supporting the education and scholarship program for the personnel of the 162nd Wing.
At a formal ceremony, we take great pride in presenting a scholarship check to a deserving airman of the 162nd. The event is routinely attended by the airman’s family and friends and is often moving. This opportunity to be acknowledged in the presence of loved ones, peers, and other members of the Air Guard is an uplifting memorable experience for all.
